Pokeball Rewards Discord Bot Privacy Policy
Last updated October 16, 2026
Pokeball Rewards is a Discord bot that lets server members throw Pokeballs at each other, collect reward items and gift them. This policy describes the data the bot stores, how it is used and how you can delete it.
Data the bot stores
- User IDs: the Discord user ID of each person who throws, receives or gifts in a channel where the bot is active.
- Server and channel IDs: the IDs of the servers and channels where the bot is used, whether each channel is active, and the throw emoji and reward settings an administrator chose for it, with the time those settings were created and last changed.
- Counters: for each user in each channel, how many Pokeballs they have given and received, and when that last changed.
- Item inventory: the reward items each user holds in each channel, and how many of each.
- Bot account IDs: the user IDs of bot accounts that someone tried to throw at or gift to, used to leave those accounts off leaderboards.
- Used gift confirmations: the message ID of each gift confirmation whose button has been used, so that each confirmation works only once. Each record is kept for 1 day.
- Interaction IDs: the ID of each command, button or menu interaction the bot receives, kept for 10 minutes.
- Cooldown times: the time of each user's last throw in a channel, used to limit how often they can throw.
- Server install log: when the bot is added to a server, the server ID, server name and time. When an administrator turns the bot on or off in a channel, the channel ID, channel name and time. Records carried over from the previous version of the bot also include channel IDs and channel names.
- Migration records: for users who, in the previous version of the bot, had a given or received counter above 10,000 or held an item with a count of zero, a record of the user ID, channel ID and original value. Counter values above 9007199254740991 were reduced to that number; other counter values were kept unchanged.
The bot does not store message content. It does not store usernames, avatars, roles or the user who installed the bot. Discord sends the bot the data needed to answer each command, and the bot keeps only the items listed above.
How the data is used
The data is used to run the bot: to show stats, leaderboards and inventories, to hand out and transfer reward items, to apply cooldowns and channel settings, and to count the servers the bot is in. The data is not sold or used for advertising.
Interaction IDs and used gift confirmations are short-lived anti-abuse records. The bot applies rate limits per user and per server.
Once every six hours the bot sends the number of servers it is in to the bot lists top.gg and discords.com. Only that number is sent.
Hosting
The bot runs on Cloudflare Workers, and its data is stored in Cloudflare D1. Cloudflare, Inc. processes the data as the hosting provider. Cloudflare may keep short-lived operational logs of requests to the bot, which are used only to find and fix errors.
This website
The website pokeballrewards.com is also hosted on Cloudflare Workers. When you open a page, Cloudflare, Inc. receives your IP address and the details of the request so that it can serve the page. The website pages do not include analytics or advertising scripts.
Retention
Stored data is kept until it is deleted. Interaction IDs are deleted after 10 minutes and used gift confirmations after 1 day. Apart from these records, the bot does not delete data automatically, including when the bot is removed from a server or a user leaves a server.
Backups
An encrypted copy of the database is made once a week and kept for 12 weeks. The copies are stored outside Cloudflare. A deletion request removes your data from the live database immediately. Copies of your data in backups expire as backups are rotated, within 12 weeks.
Viewing and deleting your data
- Run
/mydata viewin a server to see what the bot stores about you there. - Run
/mydata deleteand confirm to delete your counters, items, cooldown times and migration records in every server. The deletion takes effect immediately, except for a throw cooldown record less than 30 seconds old, which the next scheduled cleanup removes within 6 hours. The deletion cannot be undone. - A server administrator can reset a member's data with
/config reset-user. - You can also ask for deletion, or ask about your data, in the support server.
